i would have thought the same thing, however my wife sitting beside me using Hero/hench only got 6 Roots doing the same area twice. The exact mechanics behind loot scaling isn't exact !!

So Happily for me, the Bank errored in my Favor,

(Using a second account as my smite also helped with my numbers !! I highly recommend it over using a hero!)
